ERIK for MAGAZIN

ERIK is a versatile and simple table frame, being self explaining in its design and transparent about its connections and the way it is build. You could consider it a metal construction toy for adults. The design allows for a very simple and efficient production, with metal tubes processed fully automatically by a tubular laser. When packed ERIK is very space-saving and therefore can be shipped and stored efficiently.

The construction is an interpretation of a well known connection in carpentry made of three crossed bars, that was famously used by Dutch Architect and Designer Gerrit Rietfeld and therefore sometimes is referred to as the Rietfeld Knot. This is far from an invention, but a tribute and reinterpretation of an archetypal structural element.
